What we collect
Cali Reporter is a reading product, not an account product. We do not require registration, and we do not collect names, emails, or passwords from readers.
We keep lightweight, aggregate usage counters: article view counts and ad impression and click counts (slot, article, timestamp). These contain no personal identifiers.
Cookies
The public site sets no tracking cookies. A session cookie is set only for newsroom administrators signing in to the editor dashboard.
Advertising
We serve house advertising for our own partners directly from this site. We do not run third party ad networks, programmatic trackers, or retargeting pixels. Ad links go to the advertiser site with standard campaign parameters; their privacy policies apply there.
Server logs
Like every website, our infrastructure keeps short lived access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and debugging. Logs are rotated automatically.
