September 24, 2026 By KAREN VELIE After the chair of the Templeton Area Advisory Group was convicted of eight criminal counts, the bulk of the group’s members resigned leaving the board unable to function. With only three members left, the group no longer has a quorum and cannot call meetings or appoint new members.
The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors is expected to vote to no longer recognize the controversial group. The Templeton advisory group serves as a voice for Templeton residents, providing input to SLO County on planning, land use, public safety, and community development.
